Exciting new playground in Ruislip funded by Paradigm Foundation

Nursery school children at Lady Bankes Infant and Nursery School in Ruislip are excited about their new playground and can’t wait to get out there at break time!

The school was awarded a £5,000 grant from the Paradigm Foundation last year to develop the outdoor environment at the nursery. The new play area has now been given a complete makeover with the addition of a Playtime shop, a mud kitchen, a Playtime garage, a chalkboard and a mirror panel.

Philippa Cowley, Nursery Teacher at Lady Bankes, commented: “Thank you so much for the grant. The outdoor equipment is lovely. The nursery children are really enjoying the role-play areas, the garage and the shop. As the weather gets warmer and drier, the children will benefit from the mirror and chalk boards. The kitchen unit will encourage children to experiment with the natural materials within the nursery garden. These items have been a great addition to our nursery garden and the children’s learning will continue to develop using this equipment.”
