Paradigm Foundation grant helps improve facilities for Chalfont St Giles Scout group

A grant of £5,000 has helped to boost funds towards a new kitchen for lucky scouts in Chalfont St Giles…

The grant, along with funding from other sources, is being used towards ongoing improvements to the scouts’ hall, the latest of which was the installation of a brand new state of the art kitchen which has recently been completed.

The old kitchen was in dire need of replacement and work has been done to the flooring, appliances, hot water dispenser and electrics.

The kitchen was completed just before Christmas. Chalfont St Giles Group Scout Leader Rowley Maggs said: “This is a terrific early Christmas present for all the young people who use the hall as well as the many local community groups who occupy it during the day.”

“It’s further proof of how much goodwill there is in the community and the importance of maintaining good community facilities,” he added.

The new kitchen will provide easier and safer cooking to give young people a better experience when learning about food.
